Before we know it, the holidays will be upon us!  The beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina provide the perfect setting for any holiday celebration.  We are proud to present a rich bounty of happenings in and around the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, and we hope to see you up on the mountain!

November 12-15: 3rd Annual Highlands Culinary Weekend – This DELICIOUS event kicks off Thursday evening at 7 p.m. with an Opening Gala Reception at The Bascom in Highlands and includes the culinary talents of local restaurants, chefs and wineries plus live music to give guests a “taste” of what the rest of the weekend will entail.  Cost to attend Opening Night is $100/pp.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings will all feature a bountiful Country Breakfast Brunch at the Main Street Inn at just $10.95/pp – call for reservations at 828-526-2590.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons will all feature opportunities to “Relax, Refresh, Rejuvenate” at the Peggy Crosby Center with Tranquility Cove Massages with Lisa Wilker – $70.00/pp; please call 828-200-0018 to set up an appointment.  Friday and Saturday afternoons from 1 to 5 p.m. will give visitors a chance to experience Highlands’ wonderful shops, while delighting in wines and tasty tidbits through “Sip & Stroll” – $35/pp and tickets are limited.  Each day of the event will feature special demonstrations, tastings and food-based gatherings:

What: Domaine Serene, Flavor Spectrum Luncheon
Domaine Serene wine and food tasting brought to the “nth” degree. Chef Wolfgang will create three small pairings that will compliment & contrast, leaving you thinking outside of the box. Controversial dishes that will challenge your palate. Each participant will be poured a taste of four different Domaine Serene wines to compliment the four different dishes. Challenge your senses!
