Growing Cashiers-based Brokerage Firm Welcomes New Team Member
Silver Creek Real Estate Group founder and owner, Jochen Lucke, was proud to announce the addition of Dan Allen to the growing Cashiers, NC brokerage firm’s ranks. Dan’s arrival will serve to further enhance an already strong team of real estate professionals. Over the last year alone, Silver Creek has grown both its client share and its reputation by leaps and bounds. “The word is out that Silver Creek Real Estate Group is a company of seasoned professionals who care about our clients every bit as much as we care about our unique corner of the world,” insists Lucke. “Dan brings with him a fresh approach and an amazing attitude to the team. We’re delighted to have him.”
Dan Allen’s bio reads much like many of the experienced brokers who grace the halls of Silver Creek’s offices. Raised in Cary, North Carolina – Dan fulfilled a lifelong dream of living in the mountains of Western North Carolina when he moved to Cashiers with his family 16 years ago. It is here that he has built a solid career and lasting reputation as a real estate professional. He understands what draws people to the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, just as he was personally drawn here. “Cashiers is a special place,” says Dan. “Our natural surroundings are incredible and there’s a real sense of community. We are the perfect example of what a small mountain town should be.” A major advocate for animals and the environment, Dan is deeply involved in his community, is a board member of The Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society, and a member of The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust, and The Nature Conservancy. Always seeking new ways to better himself professionally as well as the industry he loves, Dan is also an active member of the following real estate organizations: Highlands-Cashiers Board of Realtors, North Carolina Board of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. He is SFR-certified, and has become quite the expert in dealing with short sales, foreclosures and REO’s. Dan lives with his family on their mountaintop farm, and – when he’s not helping other families realize their dreams of living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina – he spends much of his time off with his own family, from working on their property to relaxing at the lake. “We make our own adventures,” explains Dan. “What gives me the most enjoyment is introducing my little girl to what I fell in love with as a child. Turning over rocks in the stream, climbing trees, building forts, and exploring mountain sides. Very few kids have access to these simple pleasures. I’m so lucky and thankful that mine do. It’s great to live in Cashiers.”
Dan joins Silver Creek Team Members Lesley Howard and Elaine Zachary. Lesley is a South Carolina native who graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a continuing education in interior design. Often proving herself to be a top (if not #1) real estate agent in both sales and listings over the past two decades, Lesley also has a history working with the renowned architectural design firm – Greene & Associates, among others. Her solid background in interior design, architecture and real estate – paired with her zeal for helping others find their own little slice of Heaven along the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau – make her a key team member. One of Silver Creek’s original team members, Elaine offers her clients more than 30 years real estate expertise and an intimate knowledge of Western North Carolina. The Zachary name can be found on street signs and historic homes throughout the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. The family’s rich history and roots to the area run deep – all beginning in the early 1800’s when Colonel John A. Zachary first settled near Wade Hampton and High Hampton on a homestead with his family in what would later become Cashiers. Elaine Zachary has made it both her business and her passion to help other families settle here in the beautiful mountains of WNC. Elaine specializes in luxury home sales, with an emphasis on lakefront properties on Bear Lake and Lake Glenville.
Besides being owner and founder of Silver Creek Real Estate Group, Jochen Lucke is also a skilled broker. He has a firm grasp on the local real estate market, while always keeping an eye on national trends. He has an innate understanding of the practice of purchasing and selling properties, both as a broker and a developer. He attributes much of his success to his tenacity, and has negotiated and closed deals that others might have walked away from. He is devoted to the Silver Creek credo of “Building Relationships, Delivering Dreams”. Jochen truly enjoys real estate and development, and finds great rewards in the accomplishment of discovering the perfect home for his clients.
“I’m excited to be working with such a close-knit family of professional realtors,” says Dan. The sentiment is shared throughout the Silver Creek office. Please join Elaine, Lesley and Jochen in welcoming Dan to the Silver Creek team. Whether you are looking for your vacation home, your primary residence or your dream home, Jochen and his brokers are committed to finding the ideal home to fit your vision.
