During a month most commonly associated with Thanksgiving, those of us who live and work on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau have much for which to be thankful. We are truly blessed to call such a beautiful and unique part of the world home, with its glorious sunrises over the mountains and breathtaking sunsets over the mountain lakes. Our days are filled with an abundance of wonderful things to see and do… from a leisurely day of fly fishing in a spring-fed stream near a waterfall to a challenging day on the links at one of many gracefully rolling mountain golf courses. You might find us touring the shops and galleries that line the main thoroughfares in Highlands and Cashiers, hiking a mountain trail through an ancient forest, or strolling around the shores of Lakes Glenville, Toxaway or Sapphire. The homes that dot the mountains here are every bit as lovely as the nature that surrounds them, and the gifted merchants who’ve chosen to hang their shingles here are devoted to making every visitor feel like a local. We offer Southern Hospitality that you can see, hear, feel, taste and smell – and we hope you will join us this month to learn firsthand why we give thanks. Who knows? Next Thanksgiving – you might actually BE one of us – a Western North Carolina resident of Cashiers, Highlands, Sapphire, Glenville or Lake Toxaway. To find out more about our distinctive corner of the world and start dreaming of a home in the mountains, visit the Silver Creek Real Estate Group website at ncliving.com. Our talented team of brokers also welcomes you to call us at 828-743-1999 to schedule a tour of the towns and villages that are peppered all over the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, e-mail us with questions at info@ncliving.com, fill out our convenient online contact form, or drop by our offices in the heart of Cashiers at the Shoppes at CreekSide. For a true “taste” of the good life, don’t miss the Highlands Culinary Weekend – November 11-14.
