Golf Digest magazine just published their annual list of top golf courses in the country. They list the top 100 private and public courses as judged by a panel of 900 men and women. Each course was rated on seven different criteria on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being absolutely perfect). The seven criteria and Wade Hampton’s ratings are shot value (8.12), resistance to scoring (8.01),  design variety (8.16), memorability (8.31), aesthetics (8.62), conditioning (8.26), and ambiance (8.45), for a total score of 66.05. This ranking positions Wade Hampton Golf Club as number 17 of the top 100 private courses in the country.  A tribute to a lasting course design by Tom Fazio, the dedication of the members, and the natural beauty of Cashiers, NC. Congratulations!
